Feather Dance

He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

The Great Spirit shines light…

My beloved daughter of the Salt Clan, let My name be praised. Be quick and send a signal to your sisters on the four corners. Go and tell them the story of the Feather Dance so in this way they will know it is I, the Ancient of Days, who has crowned them.

“You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagle’s wings and brought you to myself. Like an eagle that stirs up its nest, that flutters over its young, spreading out its wings, catching them, bearing them on its pinions.”

The Story of the Feather Dance

On that day the daughters of Destiny gathered in celebration to praise the Great Spirit in the Sky, a Man of War – the LORD of Hosts.  Buckled in truth around their waists and fine breast plates of righteousness gleaming so brightly, it blinded and ruffled the feathers of those who loved darkness.

Well-polished daughters of the Truth having come to the Father through the Son, having been brought safely from the fires of affliction, judicious gems, apples of His eye.

Daughters and warrior brides each distinctly skillful and valiant. Standing firm with feet fitted with readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. Carrying golden shields of faith that extinguish the arrows of the evil one, a helmet of redemption immovable from their heads.

Daughters modeled like feathers; flexible, barbed, and tough yet remaining soft too. They carry trust, honor, strength, wisdom, power, and freedom on wings. Invisible feathers that float in the wind, carried by the winds of portion.

Dangerous destiny daughters, trained in the Sword of the Spirit; the Word written in their hearts. Able to withstand evil and war fiercely against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Called and qualified.

That day has come and they are found strong in the LORD and in His mighty power. The daughters of Zion are fully armored and able to stand against the devil’s schemes. Queens. Priests. Judges. Anointed daughters, heirs with Christ. Preserved and reserved unto this day.

Daughters gone out to war; their father’s eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself.

He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God.  Destiny’s daughters gather to watch as the armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean.

Coming out of the mouth of their Father, who is the Great Spirit, is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. He will rule them with an iron scepter. He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On His robe and on His thigh He has this name written: King of kings and Lord of lords.”

Their LORD will march out like a champion, like a warrior He will stir up His zeal; with a shout He will raise the battle cry and will triumph over His enemies.

These are them, the daughters that came out to battle and declared victory… and so it is on that Day these special ones were invited to the Feather Dance celebration where each was to receive a feather to acknowledge and commemorate her accomplishments. A feather for each win. Prized eagle feathers.

A high honor. A symbol of power and authority.

Giddy with excitement and relief at the completion of their trials, the daughters of destiny wait to be announced. On that Day war bonnets, shaped in a halo to frame their beautiful faces, are placed on their heads.

Striking and intimidating are these crowns.

Queens, Priests, and Judges. Ordained in the gauntlet.

Crucibles in the crucible; forged in fire, crowned celestially.

The Man of War is on His throne; He looks on from above as His daughters are brought together. Sister collaborators for the Feather Dance celebration.

The campaigns to destroy these precious ones have been bitter, bumpy, and choppy; fierce swirling tempestuous plots designed to kill. Many wounds are divinely healed. Peace is restored.

Zion’s daughters prepare themselves to dance, drinking deeply of living water.

Slowly at first but gaining pace the thumps of drums are heard. Even in number and having been previously hidden, the Weapons gather in a circle holding hands. They are glorious, made in His image and to His liking.

Wide smiles break forth in surprise as they admire the royal headdresses of plumage crafted in the heavens, made to order by kingdom blueprint. A magnificent gift to His victorious warrior brides.

Joy replaces sorrow as careful pairings are made; a circle of sisterhood that cannot be broken. The Great Spirit is praised; they praise Him with their dancing. Adept sister combatants, masterful takers of territory for God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and he chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.

A seated crowd watches intently as the dancers gain speed, spinning in unison on every third beat. Thum. Thum. Thum. Spin. Spin. Spin. Seven times they went, steady and true. They lift their faces to the sky, voices at the ready. Thum. Thum. Thum. Spin. Spin. Spin.

A Celestial choreography. Winged ones join, they are encamped always; sweet voices fill the air. Kairos time the tempo of all who meet here. Praise and honor for the King, He has crowned us with victory…and then:

The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!

Thou hast given him his heart’s desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah.

For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head.

He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him, even length of days for ever and ever.

His glory is great in thy salvation: honour and majesty hast thou laid upon him.

For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance.

For the king trusteth in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.

Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.

Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.

Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.

For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform.

Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back, when thou shalt make ready thine arrows upon thy strings against the face of them.

Be thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power.

The LORD of Hosts, the Great Spirit in the sky hearkens to the sweet-smelling incense. A Man of War He answers in might, calls down to His daughters in a great shout of protection. He honors the sacrifice of praise.

“Thus saith God the Lord, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein”

“I have long time holden my peace; I have been still, and refrained myself: now will I cry like a travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at once. I will make waste mountains and hills, and dry up all their herbs; and I will make the rivers islands, and I will dry up the pools. And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.”

“I the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the gentiles; To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.”

“Let the wilderness and the cities thereof lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar doth inhabit: let the inhabitants of the rock sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains. Let them give glory unto the Lord, and declare his praise in the islands.”

“Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles. He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.”

“The Lord shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies. The Lord is well pleased for his righteousness’ sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honorable.”

Thum. Thum. Thum.

Barely perceptible the drums have faded as the sun dips into the water the last spins are made. The daughters crowned in eagle’s feathers hug one another delightedly, admiring each other’s diversely plumaged crowns .They rest, winded from the breath of the Sky God.

Bright eyed and pink cheeked the sisters giggle playfully while taking fresh water to one another. The feather dancers are overcome in the Spirit; crowned with dominion they take their rightful place as vessels of honor in the King’s house.
